Going on a trip and need a Biewer Sitter?
Dear Rocky Mountain Biewer Terrier Family,
We hope you and your beloved Biewers are doing well. Over the years, we’ve had the immense pleasure of breeding and connecting our loyal, loving pets with their human families. Our puppies have found homes not only in every corner of the United States but also in Canada, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Mexico, and even the beautiful islands of Hawaii. We are proud of this widespread community that shares a deep love for the Biewer Terrier breed.
We’ve developed a visual testament to this diverse, expansive network:
A map showing the various locations where our Rocky Mountain Biewer Terriers are happily living with their families. This is more than a map; it represents our interconnected community, underlining our shared bond with these magnificent companions.
Unfortunately, we’ve also been recently reminded of a grim aspect of pet ownership.
One of our family members suffered a tragic loss when their Biewer Terrier passed away while being cared for at a pet resort. This incident has brought to our attention the potential risks associated with leaving our pets in the care of boarding kennels.
While many kennels provide excellent care, there are inherent dangers in such environments. These include the risk of communicable diseases, inadequate supervision, and the stress caused by unfamiliar surroundings and sounds. Small breeds like our Biewer Terriers can be particularly vulnerable due to their size. This is not to disparage all kennels; there are many exceptional facilities, but it’s crucial to remember that even the best kennels cannot replicate the comfort and safety of a home environment.
To address this, we’ve thought about a solution that keeps our furry family members safe and cared for in the familiar surroundings of a home. We are proposing a community-led Biewer sitter initiative where Rocky Mountain Biewer Terrier parents could volunteer to care for each other’s pets when needed.
This initiative would mean having your dog cared for by people who understand and appreciate the unique needs of Biewer Terriers. Instead of a kennel, your beloved companion would be in a home environment, significantly reducing the risks and stress associated with boarding facilities.
We know trust is paramount in such arrangements.
Therefore, we propose an introduction through us at Rocky Mountain Biewer Terriers. If you’re interested in a Biewer sitter or seeking a Biewer sitter, you can text us at (970)882-3299. We’ll coordinate contact between our puppy parents while respecting privacy and providing necessary discretion.
Purple Paws on the map are customers that have already confirmed to care for a Biewer Terrier in their area if needed.
Imagine the peace of mind, knowing that your beloved pup is under the care of a fellow Biewer Terrier parent who genuinely understands and cares for the breed. Your dog can enjoy companionship, love, and care even when you’re away, and in return, you could offer the same to another family’s Biewer.
Our mission has always been more than just breeding Biewer Terriers. We aim to build a community that supports each other and shares in the joys and challenges of owning these wonderful dogs. Our map shows just how vast and interconnected our community is. We believe this Biewer sitter initiative could be a significant step forward in that journey.
Thank you for considering this proposition. We are eager to hear your thoughts and answer any questions you may have. Together, we can create a safer, happier community for our cherished Rocky Mountain Biewer Terriers.
Warmest regards,
Jared & Karen Hansen
