Rocky Mountain’s strives to offer you the best Biewer Terrier Puppies

Are you a hobby breeder?

RMBT: At Rocky Mountain Biewer Terriers, we are proud to be a professional Biewer Terrier breeding operation. The reality is that hobby breeders usually have outside jobs and can only devote limited time to their hand full of dogs after work or on the weekends.
We are here with our dogs, every day of the week. The doggy doors open at 6:30 AM and close at 7 PM and 9 PM in the Summer. Our dogs live in small groups, crate-free!
Our team is educated and certified by the Caine College of the American Kennel Club in the fields of Canine Anatomy, Canine Reproduction, Canine Genetics, Canine Health, and Canine Selective Breeding to assure we can make correct breeding decisions to produce the best Biewer Terrier Puppies?

Why do you have so many Biewers?

RMBT: It is generally more challenging to maintain the genetic diversity and health of a breeding program with a smaller number of dogs. A larger gene pool can help to reduce the occurrence of genetic disorders and improve the overall health of the offspring to produce the best Biewer Terrier Puppies.
A hobby breeding program on the other hand may have fewer resources and may not have the same level of expertise and experience as a professional breeder. The Biewer Terrier is a very new breed and a larger breeding population will provide more opportunities to find Biewers with the desired traits and characteristics that we are seeking to breed for. A larger number of dogs allows us to breed selectively and not just repeat litter after litter. Selective breeding opportunities improve the temperament, health, and appearance of our Biewer Terriers.

How can you care for a large number of Biewers? be

RMBT: We are fortunate to own a little ranch with a spacious 6000+ sq. ft. home with 9 modified bedrooms on 4 levels and a finished walk-out basement. The rooms inside our home are modified for the needs of our little Biewers. We dedicated our home to raising the Biewer Terrier Puppies for you. Jared & I have a small bedroom and bathroom on the 4th floor and our kids have their own houses on the ranch.

On the 3rd level, we have 2 playrooms that are dedicated to our fully weaned Biewer Puppies. We have 1 room for our moms that just gave birth or that are just about to give birth. We also have a large open nursery for moms with puppies that are 3-7 weeks old. The nursing moms and soon-to-be moms have access to a walk-out deck on the 3rd level where they can potty, overview the events on the ranch from above and get some sun and fresh air. A laundry room and a full bath and a puppy bathing station are also located on the 3rd level as well as our Puppy Intensive Care Unit.
On the 2nd level, we have a very large community area for our family and the dogs, an equipped doggy kitchen, an employee bathroom, and 2 more doggy bedrooms. Most of our doors in the house have a doggy door installed or function as a dutch door with the top of the door always open. Dogs come and go through the doggy doors into the community area to see what’s going on, to nap in one of the beds, maybe get a spot on the couch, watch us prep meals in the kitchen or play with the house cats.
The community area connects to another doggy deck with a large front yard. That door gets very busy when Jared is coming home from dog supply shopping or when the mailman comes! best Biewer Terrier Puppies
The first level of our home has another large community area with a doggy door that connects to a 1.5 acres fenced yard that’s separated into 3 large playgrounds areas with toys, playhouses, logs to climb, beds, covered decks, and 2 large community houses that are also accessible via doggy doors. Another laundry room and 2 additional doggy rooms with dutch doors are also located on the 1st level as well as a very large supply storage room.
All hallways are equipped with dutch doors or see-through gates to keep dogs out of certain areas when needed. The bedrooms provide dog beds, pee pads, toys, water, food, and chews, and our Biewers sleep in small groups. best Biewer Terrier Puppies

What do you feed your Biewer Terriers?

RMBT: We are dedicated to providing our dogs with the highest quality nutrition possible and are cooking for our dogs on a daily basis. It takes a balanced and healthy diet for our moms to produce the best Biewer Terrier Puppies. Rocky Mountain Farm (that’s our Ranch Name) owns about 60-70 black Angus Beef Cattle. Our cows graze on 500 acres in the Hidden Valley at Lake Totten in Cortez, Colorado. During the winter months, we feed them grass & alfalfa hay. We also raise pigs, chickens, ducks, and lamb. We also operate 2 commercial freeze-dryers and make our own freeze-dried dog treats. To prepare for busy days we also have several freezers stocked up with healthy pre-cooked meals from The Farmer’s Dog or Ollies Dog Food delivery services. In addition to these fresh meal options, we also offer our Biewers 24/7 access to a selection of high-quality dry kibbles, such as Life’s Abundance All Life Stages, Purina Pro Plan Toy Breed, and Primal Freeze Dried Nuggets, which are supplemented with Nuvet Immune System Builder. What about veterinarian care?

RMBT: We prioritize the health and well-being of our puppies, which is why we have our veterinarian come to our home every Wednesday. This allows us to provide our puppies with necessary medical care without exposing them to potentially sick dogs at a traditional veterinary clinic. By bringing the veterinarian to us, we can ensure that our puppies receive the best possible care in a safe and controlled environment. best Biewer Terrier Puppies
We are lucky to work with a veterinarian who is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also a friend of the family. This means that we have the added benefit of being able to easily get in touch with the vet if any issues arise or if we have any questions or concerns. This level of personal connection and accessibility is something that we value greatly and it helps us to ensure that our puppies and dogs receive the best possible care at all times. best Biewer Terrier Puppies

How do you know that your Biewers are worth producing offspring?

RMBT: In addition to health screens and genetic testing, our Biewer Terriers participate in Dog Shows on a regular basis. Dog shows provide an opportunity for us to compete against others and get opinions from dog professionals like AKC judges. Dogs that do well in conformation shows may earn points towards their championship status, which is a prestigious accomplishment in the world of dog breeding. Dog shows often offer health test clinics and educational seminars on various topics related to dog care, training, and health. best Biewer Terrier Puppies
