Dear Friends of Rocky Mountain Biewer Terriers & Future Biewer Owners,
We have been touched by your continued interest in our “new Biewer puppies”, and we understand the excitement that surrounds the prospect of welcoming a new furry friend into your home!
With the Summer months well underway, we thought it was a good time to provide you with an update and explain our breeding schedule.
You may have noticed that during the Summer, the availability of new Biewer puppies tends to decrease. This is a carefully planned approach, due to the natural cycles of our female dogs and the practicalities of timing for potential dog owners.
Female dogs have a tendency to come into season together. This phenomenon often aligns with the preference to breed our dogs in specific seasons: Fall and Spring.
There are several reasons for this timing that we believe serve both our dogs and their future families best.
The Fall and Spring seasons provide more comfortable weather for the dogs. The milder temperatures are easier on pregnant and nursing females
The timing also coincides with a more convenient period for families to introduce a new puppy into their homes. During the Summer months, many families travel or engage in various outdoor activities, creating a packed and often unpredictable schedule. Integrating a new puppy during this time can be challenging, as new Biewer puppies require a stable and attentive environment, especially in those crucial first weeks.
By aligning our breeding schedule with the Fall and Spring, we aim to create an experience that is not only joyous but also responsible and considerate of the needs of our dogs.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate through these seasonal rhythms.
If you are on our waiting list, you will get to see the new Biewer puppies before we announce them on our website.
